Our Staff
The Division of Pediatric Rheumatology is staffed by two attending
physicians, Beth Gotlieb, MD, Division
Chief, Anne Eberhard, MD. In addition, the Division
is comprised of three nurse clinicians, a physical/occupational
therapist, and social worker.
Dr. Barbara Anne Eberhard received her medical degree at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia and did her residency at the Royal Children's Hospital, in Melbourne. She did her first Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship at the Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow, United Kingdom under the direction of Dr. Barbara Ansell, the "grandmother" of pediatric rheumatology in the English speaking world. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Pediatric Rheumatology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and was a graduate student at the University of Toronto, earning a MSc in Immunology. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Pediatrics and of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. In 1998 Dr. Eberhard joined the full-time faculty of the Children's Medical Center of Boston as Instructor in Pediatrics, Harvard University Medical School. Since September 2001, Dr. Eberhard has been Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology, Schneider Children's Hospital at North Shore, and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Beth S. Gottlieb received her medical degree at the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv, Israel. She did her pediatrics residency at the Schneider Children's Hospital in New Hyde Park New York. She completed a fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Schneider Children's Hospital. She joined the full-time faculty at Schneider Children's Hospital in 1998 and is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Gottlieb received a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Research Methods from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University in 2000. She received a Clinical Science Research Grant from the Arthritis Foundation to conduct a multicenter study investigating the long-term outcome of children diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Currently she serves on the New York Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation's National Arthritis Action Plan Committee. She is the Fellowship Training Coordinator in Pediatric Rheumatology at Schneider Children's Hospital.
