Radiation Oncology
Lorraine Marin, MD
Dr. Marin has been an attending physician in the Department of
Radiation Oncology at LIJ since 1993, and holds the title of Assistant
Professor in Radiation Oncology at Albert Einstein School of Medicine.
Dr. Marin received her MD from the University of California Davis
Medical School and completed a residency in internal medicine
at Rush St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago and UC Davis Medical
Center.
Dr. Marin completed post-graduate brachytherapy radiation training
at Hospital Henri Mondor in Paris, France. She completed both
medical oncology and radiation oncology training at The National
Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD, and is board certified in radiation
oncology, medical oncology and internal medicine. Dr. Marin is
a so the Director of Science for The Preuss Foundation, an organization
that specializes in brain tumor research.
May Lim, MD, MPH
Dr. Lim is a board-certified radiation oncologist and has been
on the staff of LIJ's Department of Radiation Oncology since 2000.
She received her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts
Medical School and completed her residency/fellowship training
in Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School's Joint Center
for Radiation Therapy. In addition, Dr. Lim has a Masters of Public
Health degree from Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Lim has
published articles in the area of breast and other cancers.
Alan Johnson, MD
Alan Johnson, MD, a native of Long Island, earned a B.S. in biology
from SUNY Binghamton, graduating with academic honors. His Medical
school training was completed at SUNY Syracuse, graduating cum
laude, with election into the AOA Honor Medical Society.
His medical internship year was completed at Winthrop University
Hospital on Long Island, where he was elected "intern of
the year". Dr. Johnson then trained the next six years at
Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City for a radiology
residency and two year neuroradiology fellowship, spending the
final year of residency training as chief radiology resident.
Dr. Johnson joined the neuroradiology section at Long Island
Jewish Medical center in July 2003, and assumed the section Chief
position in 2005. Dr. Johnson was voted "teacher of the year"
for the radiology department academic year 2005-2006.
Craig Warshall, MD
Dr. Craig Warshall obtained his medical degree from UHS/The Chicago
Medical School in 1991. He then completed his residency in Internal
Medicine at Norwalk Hospital, CT. In 1998, he graduated from a
diagnostic radiology residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center
and came to the North Shore-LIJ Health System, where he completed
his Neuroradiology fellowship.
Dr. Warshall is currently an attending neuroradiologist for North
Shore Manhasset Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and
Schneider Children's Hospital. He is board certified by the American
Board of Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in
Neuroradiology. Dr. Warshall is a member of the American Medical
Association, Fairfield County Medical Association and American
College of Radiology.
