Free Car Seat Check Is your car seat installed correctly? Schneider Children’s Hospital offers free car seat installation checks.  Our Community outreach Department and Neonatal Unit RNs are certified through the NHTSA (National highway and traffic administration) for car seat installations.  We provide this free service to the community along with the support of the Nassau County Safe Kids Coalition.  Parents are asked to bring along the child, the seat, the vehicles owners manual and instructions for use of the child safety seat. Instruction in Infant and Child Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Obstructed Airway Clearance Techniques You can take a big step toward reducing childhood injuries and death.  Learn how to prevent injuries before they occur. Learn emergency measures to clear the airway and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for infants and children. All classes run from 10am - 2pm. have children bring a bagged lunch. Classes take place in Room 337. Pediatric Nurses will teach you: Basic First Aid Tips Baby Care What to do in an Emergency Safety for children of all ages Class size: 25 registrants Participants: Boys and girls at least 11 years old.
