The Children's Heart Center Services
The diagnosis, management and treatment of heart problems at the Children's Heart Center of the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center is based on a multidisciplinary approach designed for the unique needs of our patients. The services necessary for evaluating and treating our patients are provided in an environment sensitive to the needs of the patient and concerned family by physicians, nurses and technologists dedicated to pediatric, adolescent and fetal care.
Children's Heart Center Consultation Services
Infants, children and adolescents referred for pediatric cardiology office consultation may be seen in at our hospital campuses or Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center Consultation Centers. Consultation with an attending cardiologist is by appointment, five days a week from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM:
- Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center, New Hyde Park
- Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center at North Shore, Manhasset
- Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center Consultation Center at Hewlett
- Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center Consultation Center at West Islip
- Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center Consultation Center at Commack
- Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center Consultation Center at Flushing
Fetal Cardiology consultation services are available at both hospital campuses:
- Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center, New Hyde Park
- Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center at North Shore, Manhasset
Patients requiring inpatient consultative services are admitted to the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center and Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center at North Shore. Patient's undergoing cardiac catheterization as well as those requiring pediatric cardiothoracic surgery are admitted to the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center at New Hyde Park.
Twenty-four hour emergency consultative services are provided at both the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center and the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center at North Shore.
