A two-year Fellowship program in the Allergy/Immunology
Division leading to Board Certification in Allergy & Immunology is
a central function of the Division. The fellows are exposed to a full academic
allergy and immunology program including didactic clinical experiences
in both adult and pediatric allergy, primary and secondary immunodeficiency,
and laboratory methodology. Extensive daily teaching rounds, weekly outpatient
and chart reviews, journal clubs and formal and informal didactic teaching
sessions form the educational core of the training program. The fellowship
is designed to offer extensive training in clinical and basic science research
and laboratory methods necessary for a successful career in clinical allergy/immunology
or academic medicine.
