CENTER FOR HOPE

Schneider Children's Hospital is committed to families during the difficult and painful time after the loss of a loved one. The Center for HOPE (Healing, Opportunity, Perseverance, Enlightenment) offers programs intended to meet the needs of the entire family:

Groups for children ages 4-18 who
have experienced the death of a parent or sibling.

These children meet in developmentally age appropriate groups while their parent or guardian meets in an adult group at the same time. All the groups talk about the same theme during this time, thereby enhancing communication between family members in their time of grief and loss. These groups meet throughout the year from September through June and families can enter the groups at any point in time.

Groups for Parents who have experienced the death of a child.

Eight week close ended groups are offered several times a year to help parents cope with the devastating loss of a child.

Groups for Parents who have had Perinatal Losses

Eight week close ended groups are offered for parents experiencing perinatal losses or stillbirths
